So we are almost into a New Year and I have started planning the changes I will make beginning in 2009. The first is to be a better blogger hahaha. I really need to post at least 3 times per week, I have so much to say so whats the reason I don't post?

I will save money this year. As hard as it will be, I no longer have child support coming in for my daughter( Bio gave up his rights and DH will adopt YAY). And I don't mean save money with great deals, all thought that will continue; I mean save money in a physical money in bank kind of way. It will be challenge as we are a family of four on one income, but I am determined. I just really wish DH was more on board. I would love for us to both be on the same page when is comes to finances. I am the bill payer, allocator of monies. DH is the maker of the money and the one that spends it on unnecessary things, like golfing, lottery tickets and other things that are such a waste. I would love to be completely free from credit card debt, car payment and basically everything other then a mortgage and living expenses. I have read like 3 Dave Ramsey books and while I want to get into the gazelle mode of paying down debt you really cant unless your SO is in the same mind set err.

So I will try as best I can, If anyone has any suggestions that may have been there and done that with a SO that was resistant and have had success let me know!

Now that Christmas is over and the tree is down(mine died within 2 weeks of buying it ugh) Its time to reflect on the year and plan for the next. Can I tell you how excited I am waiting for the target toy sale. I only had to buy a few gift towards Christmas because I was able to stock up so much last year that all birthdays and most of Christmas was taken care of because of that sale! I am also excited at the prospect of new sweepstakes and contests, It was a super summer but really slowed down towards the end of the year! I did however win 2 new pairs of shoes from a blog contest last week for my son, so happy about that they will be put to good use!
