True Friends are hard to find, even harder to hold onto

This post is one of those things that I think needs to said.

I have very few IRL friends that I speak to on a regular basis. I have my Best friend that has been in my life for 20 years now! We only had one period of a year maybe a bit more where we didn't speak, other then that time we speak almost every day.

Friends are one of those things in life that I feel grateful for, and that I am selective about. There is no room in my life for someone who doesn't want to be a TRUE friend to me.

I know its hard when your lives take different paths, or you get sick, tired, busy or any multitude of things that can hinder communication. However its hard finding and HOLDING onto them. To me a friendship is like any other relationship, There is give, take, and work. If you get nothing back in return what is the point.

A simple call is easy isn't it?, even a quick email or text. Those take only seconds and don't even require you to talk. I understand sometimes things are tough but you should always make time for friends! I would so rather have 1-2 great friends then a ton of acquaintances!

There is no worse feeling then wondering why a person you call friend just seems to disappear, promises a call or a get together only to leave you hanging. I take great pride in being there for my friends, I would do anything I could to help them, to be there for them, to offer all I have in exchange for nothing more then their friendship.

Please if you have a friend you have lost contact with give them a call, a true friends will never hold that against you but will have a conversation like you never stopped talking. Don't leave someone you have called friend just hanging it hurts even if you don't mean for it to. Please don't wait for them to call you again, there comes a time when even if they are a good friend they will tire of reaching out and never hearing back and will just stop trying ; you will then have another lost friendship under your belt that you could have prevented.

Friends are hard to find hold onto them and be grateful, it takes but a minute to say hi but a lifetime to get over regret.

Amazon I thought I knew a lot

But I have been missing out and a great way to save some extra money! The only reason I found out about it was frustration! You know the frustration of adding an item to your cart to come back a day or so later when you have more time to shop and find the price has gone up!

Yeah that happened to me and not a buck or two but $40.00! I have been searching for a Dual Screen Portable DVD Player and I didn't want to pay over 100.00 because we don't take long round trips but maybe once per year. Because of this I wanted to stay within my price point but still wanted a player with decent reviews and one with a warranty just in case because Murphy like to visit my home.

In my frustrated search I went back to the item that I had added to my cart and thought about the possibility of cheating on Amazon with a private seller! I really didn't want to do this as I live for FREE shipping with my Prime membership, but I wanted to look anyway.

I stated my search under the other sellers tab and found Warehouse Deals By Amazon whaaaat?? Where have I been? Ok let me give you a break down, Amazon receives back returned merchandise, they Insure it in good working order, determine the quality level and price it at deep discounts! Now not only can you get a huge discount on items that you want BUT they are fulfilled by Amazon so FREE shipping and you still get a 30 day warranty! But its not just Electronics they sell food, sporting goods and other merchandise.

I never knew about this and I have been shopping there for quite some time, now if the dreaded overnight price increase happens I can check out another source!

Go check it out, I'm sure this will be a favorite of mine!

My name is Lisa and I am a Purse Snob

Yes I admit it, while I am frugal with just about everything in my life a designer Purse is my weakness. I don't care about designer clothes, or froo froo shoes, and pretty much wear no jewelry besides my wedding ring and mothers ring.

Show me a lovely Coach, Dooney, or ahhh an LV and im in heaven. To me nothing puts together and outfit even if that outfit is sweats and sneakers then a gorgeous handbag.

I do have a nice collection but I am always looking to add more. I do not have any spendy hobbies and buy most of my clothing at thrift stores, so I will not feel guilty for spending a few hundred dollars on a lovely bag. I do live for sales though and Dillards is having the Big Sale which they do twice per year.

During this sale you get 40% off already lowered clearance prices! This is an awesome opportunity to spend a little to get a lot. Sadly for clothing and woman they have three categories to me. Ultra formal as in gowns, Nana, and Kiddy bopper none of which are me so clothing finds for me are rare. Men on the other hand they have a great selection for! Hubby was able to score 2 pairs of slacks for 9.00 each and a pair of jean for 13.00! That is cheaper then even thrift stores here.

The children lack in selection too sadly. But the highlight of these sales for me is the Coach counter! Yes I was able to score a lovely Gold/Khaki Poppy Sateen bag for 98.00! Whoo hoo the regular retail is $198.00!

I am so excited for a new bag and a color I have never owned!

Lasagna no Pasta is not necessary!

That's right Pasta is not necessary in Lasagna! We have eaten past one time in the last 4 months and while it was good I realized I really don't need it. That is something I would not have been able to say right before Thanksgiving when I started South Beach Diet.

I have grown very accustom to not having any pasta, but I do have some of the whole wheat variety at home in case of a craving.

This has made me get very creative with my cooking, which I am thankful for. I am so happy to be able to come up with good for your recipes that my entire family enjoys!

I wanted to share my recipe for Veggie Lasagna, This time I used a Tomato Base sauce but I have made it with a creamy Alfredo sauce as well and they are both yummy.

Again Ill give approximate measurements as I just kinda go along. Depending on the size of your pan you may be able to make two batches! I was able to and now I have one in my freezer, how's that for preparing in advance. Now all I need to so is pull it out defrost it and warm it up.

If you can remember the meat is left over from my Turkey Meatloaf the night before....way to cook for multiple meals at the same time, oh so is the pasta sauce!

Veggie Lasagna

1 Eggplant Pealed cut in half width wise, then sliced thinly length wise

1 Zucchini prepared the same way as the Eggplant

1 package fresh Mushrooms, If button just slice them

a hand full of baby carrots sliced

Ground Turkey ( you can also steam Cauliflower and mash it to use in place, I did this and it rocked)

Ricotta Cheese (lo fat preferred)

Mozzarella Cheese (part skim)

Pasta Sauce

I start with a thin layer of Ricotta on the bottom of my pans to anchor the first layer. Proceed to layer your ingredients, using a but of Ricotta after one full rotation of ingredients.

Once you have finished all your layers cover with a layer of Mozzarella cheese, then Sauce.

Bake 45-60 minutes in a 325 oven.

Check out all the yummy pics!

Heart Healthy tips for my readers.

An Affair of the Heart
By Margaret Lewin, MD, FACP – Medical Director, Cinergy Health

February is National Heart Month and not just because of Valentine’s Day. According to the American Heart Association, one in 2.4 American women will lose their lives to heart disease and stroke – the first and third biggest killers of women. In comparison, breast cancer kills one in 29. So let’s look at V.A.L.E.N.T.I.N.E.S. Day from another vantage point: reducing our risk of heart disease.

Vitamin D plays a significant role in the cellular structure of the heart and its pumping ability, and deficiency can lead to heart disease and stroke. Although Vitamin D is created after direct exposure to sunlight, our appropriate efforts to protect our skin from cancer can block this path. It’s difficult to get enough Vitamin D from food, short of drinking four glasses of milk daily. Ask your doctor to check your blood level of Vitamin D and ask whether supplements are appropriate.

Avoid “bad fats” like hydrogenated and saturated, and eliminate trans-fats altogether. Replace them with vegetable oils such as olive, canola, corn and soy, and those supplemented with omega-3’s. Do recognize that all fats have the same number of calories, so use even “good” fats sparingly.

Lose that belly fat as it increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes and certain types of cancer. Belly fat is usually the first area to shrink with moderate-intensity aerobic exercise and strength training with weights.

Exercise has other heart-healthy benefits: it can help control blood lipid abnormalities, blood pressure and diabetes, as well as make the heart work more efficiently during exercise and rest. Even after suffering a heart attack, people who embark on a graduated exercise program have better rates of survival, as well as a better quality of life.

Note package labeling in prepared foods and look for the types and amounts of fats and sugars. Choose foods absent in trans-fats and low in other ‘bad fats’; and look for “no added sugar” or “unsweetened” products.

Take time each day for relaxation. Stress contributes to heart disease by turning on hormones that cause a rapid heartbeat, rise in blood pressure, increased turbulence in the bloodstream, and – some scientists believe – speed up the process of fatty material collecting in the coronary arteries. Relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation and t’ai chi can break the cycle.

Be Informed about your blood pressure, blood sugar and lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides). If you’re not in optimum ranges, discuss with your doctor how to get there.

Nix sugars. The American Heart Association recommends no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar daily for women (9 for men). This isn’t much – for example a bottle of cola with 44 grams of sugar contains 10 teaspoons! (Be aware that “naturally sweetened” products often contain added fruit juice or lactose from milk, which are added sugars.) These recommendations do not include natural sugars, like in fruit.

Eat a diet high in fruits, vegetables and grains.

Stop smoking – the major preventable risk factor for heart disease. It increases blood pressure, decreases exercise tolerance and increases the risk of abnormal blood clots leading directly to heart attacks and strokes.

Don’t just limit healthy heart habits to National Heart Month – extend them to every day of the year. But, on Valentine’s Day, you’re allowed to have that one piece of chocolate!

This is being posted as an FYI for my readers, I was not compensated in any way to post.

South Beach Friendly Ground Turkey Meatloaf Healthy and Delish!

while we have been on South Beach Diet in my home we have, or should I say I have been coming up with ways to make my families favorites in a more South Beach friendly way.

Even before starting the South Beach way of life I would use Ground Turkey rather then ground beef in some of my recipes but I would mix it with beef as my husband is err was a beef snob.

I am not a Meatloaf eater as I find it repulsive to eat a huge hunk of meat, I mean whats the point its just too much ground meat. This however is a favorite of my husband so I thought I would come up with a healthier way to make it for him.

Some nights I find it hard to get our recommended veggies into dinner because they are expensive and with two of us eating them 10 cups per day would send us to the poor house. We do eat as much as possible though and while my kids like veggies I still try to hide them in a lot of what I cook.

I create dishes in my mind and never use precise measurements so I will be taking an educated guess in my measurements for you.

Turkey Meatloaf

Phase 2-3

2 C. ground lean turkey meat

2 C. finely chopped spinach ( used fresh but drained frozen would be fine too)

1/2 C. carrots finely chopped

1/2 a medium onion chopped fine

3 Sweet peppers Finely chopped

1/2 grape tomatoes chopped

( you can use ANY veggies that you like just try to keep them of the drier variety except for tomatoes)

1/2 C. Panko Bread Crumbs

mix all ingredients and your choice of seasoning.

Place into pan of choice in a preheated 325 degree oven. For loaf pan about 40 minutes for muffin tin from 25-30 minutes. About 3 minutes prior to serving top with pasta sauce I use no sugar added Ragu, and a bit of low fat mozzarella cheese.

You can use a regular loaf pan I prefer to use muffin pans as it helps with portion control!

Here you can see them being prepped

Breeze Comfort Bra Review, Yeah your girls will thank you

As with my pantie post I feel its important to touch on the need for a well fitting bra.

Bra's are important as the are the foundation for your clothing just as panties. You need a well fitting bra that not only flatters your figure, but that is comfortable and durable.

I was able to review the Mountain View Sports Bra from Breeze Comfort so that I could give you the low down.

Now I have been going to they Gym at least 3 times per week for almost a year now, this I feel makes me a pretty good judge of Sports Bras. A good Sports Bra must have adequate support! There is nothing worse then taking a brisk walk on the Treadmill only to have to girls flop around! The Next huge thing is Breath ability! How horrid it is when your Sports Bra traps all the perspiration and smothers your chest.

Comfort, yes that is a must who wants to feel like your chest is being pressed into you!

I am happy to say the the Breeze Comfort Sports Bra exceeded in all the needs that I have in a Sports Bra. This Bra is wonderful offering the right amount of support with out being pushed flat. The Breath ability is unlike any Sports Bra I own, you are cool and comfortable even after the hardest workout. Durability seems good I have worn and washed it twice now and it has maintained its shape and fit! The only improvement I can see would be the metal clips on the side, they are not very easy to undo and I really don't think they are necessary.

Underpants,Panties, Underwear It has to be said

Girls let me first say that I am a pack rat pantie whore I understand the strong desire to never throw out even one precious pair.

I admit it I still have a couple of pairs from oh some time around High School, But they are not in my regular rotation. I have this weird thing in that I must have a non disclosed amount of pairs to tide me over should a nuclear Holocaust or a laundry emergency occur.

This comes from many years in apartments and having to save quarters for laundry.I knew if I had clean panties then I was good to go because you can always wear an article of clothing more then once, however unless you are into the fetish world I wouldn't suggest wearing your under draws two days in a row, but that is not my reason for writing this post.

My reason for writing this is to address the issue that while you may hold onto ill fitting panties for specific reasons like I stated above, or even the reason of the infamous period panties. Yeah I said it ooooh what was I thinking? well we all know we have them but rarely does it ever make its way into a conversation.

No my reason is this. Ladies underoos are just like any type of clothing in that when you lose or gain weight those sizes change too!. I am tired of seeing ladies at the gym and their butts look like sausages that are desperately trying to be freed from their casing!

Then there are my favorite the tiny thongs that pinch your sides so tight and go so far in that your GYN needs to bust out the speculum to grab them.

Ladies from this pantie whore to you, do your self a favor and get comfy panties that FIT. Your va jay jay and butt will thank you., Oh yeah so will my eyes once my Retinas regenerate.

This is not a slam on your bodies as Lord knows I'm not perfect but let me tell you a good pair of draws hides a lot!

Spring time is right around the corner! Get New Samples

Yes Spring is right around the corner, with renewed weather comes new samples and new coupons.

Is saving more money a priority this year for you like it is for me? Then get on the band wagon and take the free money that companies give you to shop with in their coupons!

Using coupons is like taking free money from the issuing companies. They want you to use them to try out their products! Companies hope that you will fall in love with their products and will continue to use them even without coupons. That is also the reasoning behind free product samples, it works as consumers want to try before they buy!

Another great way to save on local dining and attractions is the Entertainment Book. You can easily make your money back just by using a few coupons out of the book, Even more if you split it with another family, check into it!

Humming Bird Feeders arent they all the same?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of topfillfeeders.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

No Humming Bird Feeders are not all created equal! Sure for the most part they look very similar but trust me there are mediocre feeders, some that really are a huge joke, and then the best hummingbird feeder .

Have you heard of the new Top Fill feeders? Don't worry if you haven't neither had I until I was sent one to try out.

I received the Perkey-Pet Magnolia Patented Top Fill feeder to try out in my back yard. Honestly I didn't realize how easy a Top Fill Hummingbird Feeder would be to use. I was used to the old ones that look kind like a glass tests tube with a spout, Those darn things never closed right and always had sticky leaks!

This Feeder was so easy to fill! The top unscrews from the nectar reservoir, you fill and screw the top back on when done. Once you hang it up in your desired spot you simply pull lightly down on the feeding base to send the Nectar to the flower feeding spouts. So easy and mess free!

I chose to hang mine underneath my back patio awning. We have trees but the ants take them over in the summer and I want my little humming friends to be able to enjoy a meal! It is a lovely addition to my patio, so much more attractive then some feeders I have seen and used before.

Take a look at a few photos I took, I always like to see products in use rather then page stock photos. You can see the bright colors and how it would be appealing to the Humming Birds.

There is even large a selection of very neat contemporary Humming bird feeders available if you would prefer a more modern look, as well as regular bird feeders.

Head over and take a look there is certainly a Feeder for every level of bird lover You can even find hummingbird feeders starting at $11

Valentine's Day Music Freebie From Amazon.com

Yay you know me I love freebies and I know you do to! I was asked if I wanted to share a great Valentine's Day Music sampler with you.

Oh course I wanted to share! Yay for free music! You can download this free sampler until February 14th from Amazon.

Whoo hoo free music sounds better I swear it hahah.

Theives a great argument for savings!

The title says it all! My husband debit card information was cloned and they wiped out his account between last night and 5:30 this morning.

I am the saver in our relationships, being a sahm saving money is tough. I do however make it a prority. This is a great reson why! We do not share bank accounts so he writes me a check every pay day so that I can pay the bills from my account.

I deposited a check yesterday morning but then this happened! The fraud department at his bank says they will honor it but I can't wait and hope. Thank god I have a savings account that I was able to transfer money from to cover the amount of his check. I am hoping they do cover it and that I am able to transfer it back, but it can take up to 45 days to have his money returned to him!

This has made me realize having sepparate accounts is the best thing for us! I would never have changed it but with mone you should never have all your eggs in one basket, and you should always have an emergency stash!

I am feeling under the weather! BUT accomplished

Since about Sunday I have been feeling a sinus issue coming on. Yesterday was bad BUT I still went to the local community to take the assessment exams that are needed to tell me where to start.

ahhh feeling like crap and taking tests I would advise against it. I did poorly in the math part but I knew that would happen!I have never been a math person however between my husband and Algebrahelp.com I was able to relearn the basics too bad they just seemed to throw random questions at me. That kinda upset me because I was diligent in printing sample tests and such before I went and that's where I had issue.

I have to take a butt load of math classes to even get to the ones that count...great! I knew that would be the case but I am still not excited, I have decided those will be the first to go so I can get them out of my way!

I tested out of reading so I don't have to take any reading courses, actually tested at 93/100 so should I want to I could take an HONORS class hahaha! In the writing exam I was 5 points from being where I need to be. I blame that on my head really even the advisor told me to take it again because reading and writing scores usually go hand in hand. I will do that so I can save myself a class!

This is a huge step for me! I was never the best student I REALLY have to work at school, my twin brother on the other hand always sailed through. I have made up my mind that I will have a degree before I die! It will take me a long while since I am at home with my kids alone the majority of time, but a couple of classes at a time is something even I can do!

I will be working towards an Associate in Liberal Arts For Transfer. Doing it this way allows me to work on the basics while not having to commit to a particular field for my degree, and all credits are transferable to a university.

I will not let the fear of failure stop me any longer,It has always stopped me dead in my tracks! Its ok to fail if you tried your hardest it is not ok to never try!

Do you ever wonder what other people work area looks like?

Well today you are in for a scary treat! I will show you my desk be forewarned this is not for the faint of heart nor the tidy perfectionist!

No this is the work area of a mom who has no space of her own! The work area of a mom struggling to make something for herself, a name. The space of a mom screaming to work while conflicted in the motherly role.

This my friends is my scary scary place. The place I do all my creating, bill paying, surfing, goofing off err I mean work.

Please don't think negatively once you see the utter chaos that is my area. My desk has become the catch all. The place where all the forbidden contraband that my children try to smuggle. The black hole of my universe!

OK are you ready? Here ya go.

You can see in this pic... On the left I try to organize I really do, but the receipts, coupons, check book, bills just wind up all over the place. lets see in the middle wow my sunglasses that's where they went, random school papers from my daughter. Both pairs of my glasses (yeah I wear them for computer work only) and since I cant get used to the arms of my new pair I keep the old ones on stand by. Umm dvd player remote because anything with batteries is fair game around here! My Coffee cup (always there sometime 2-3 cups)

Here is the right side of my desk, another attempt at being organized gone wrong! Shelves full of important papers that have no home, my Pencil/pen cup that never has a damn pen when I need it, Nail Polishes That I have reclaimed from my daughter, a recipe box that holds stamps and mailing labels. Broken crayons well not just broken but half eaten, paper clips , various USB cords because every stinkin think I own has one!

And here is underneath where my crappy Fill in printer is! Its a Cannon and it has stood the test of time but the two previous Cannon Pixma printers were junk and cost 3 times more hmm go figure! Umm my fat girl note book, this is where I write down everything I put in my face so I feel accountable! Hey its worked I have lost 20.5 lbs! Random coupons, scratch paper for the kids, my camcorder in the bag, tripod, and computer paper, books, ink refill kit, blank DVDs. cds,and god knows what else is really under there. I just shove it all back in when it falls.

Her is the last one! You can see on bad days the crap spills to the top as well (hangs head in shame) but you can also see the reason I purchased a computer hutch instead of a desk, I can close the doors and no one will see my mess!

Crafts can be a Frugal fix!

FaveCraftsFaveCrafts

I love doing Crafts and my kids do too. I was thinking last night that I never really touched on this subject in being frugal!

To me the best gifts are those with a lot of thought and love put in them and what has more of that then handmade gifts?

Valentines day is coming up right around the corner! For me I would rather have something hand made from hubby because then I know that he put thought into it!

Crafts are an easy way to be frugal a piece of red construction paper can be converted into a ton of Valentines, or two really nice size cards! Look around at thrift stores next time your there. I always find a ton of cards and other items that can be re-used and re-purposed into great gifts. buy them when you find them for dirt cheap prices.

After the holidays have past buy supplies dirt cheap and store them. Great example is after Christmas buy red decorations, glitter, sprinkles and anything you normal use with your crafts because in less then two months you can use them again for your Valentines day ideas!

Let me give you a craft that you can do alone or with you kids. I used this from Christmas ornaments last year but this would be perfect for Valentines Day as well.

Cinnamon Dough Ornaments

1 C. Applesauce

1 1/2 C. (6oz) Cinnamon

1/3 C. White Craft Glue

Large cutting Board,Rolling Pin, Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter,

Plastic Straw

Fancy Ribbon

Mix Applesauce, Cinnamon, and glue forming a ball. Refrigerate fro about 30 minutes.

Sprinkle more cinnamon onto your cutting board and rolling pin.

Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and use the cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes.

While dough is still pliable use straw to poke two holes int the top of the curved part of the heart.

At this point you can also write a nice message,or date into the hearts as well as add fancy charms or beads to your heart. Once you are done with them put them in a safe place on a cooling rack to dry for a couple days.

When the color changes to a light color they are done! Put your ribbon through the holes you poked out and gift!

I have also dried mine in the over at a very low temperature. It speed it along and makes you house smell yummy! These last for years!

You can also check out the banners above for more free craft ideas! Enjoy being frugal!

Yummy Pita Pizza Recipe

I wanted to share my recipe for the most delicious replacement for pizza.

I have seen recipes that are similar with say English muffins but not Pita Pockets.
Because my husband and I are on South Beach Diet we cant have any white flour products but we can enjoy whole grains!

I found some Pitas at Sunflower Market that are way more SB friendly then other brands because they have Nothing but Whole Wheat flour,Salt, water and not Sugar added nor any other additives!

Whoo hooo another yummy treat to enjoy. Honestly the more I stick with this way of life the better meals I prepare! You are forced to become creative unless you want to get stuck in a rut with food and nothing can sabotage healthy habits like that.

My family including the kids just ate these up and really enjoyed them! Pizza is one meal that we miss and now we have a substitute that is as good as the original and so much more healthy!

Recipe: Preheat oven to 325

Whole Wheat Pita Bread (1 whole Pita per person to allow for extra)

Tomato Sauce I used No sugar added Hunts

Mozzarella Cheese

Mushrooms

Pepperoni (I used Turkey)

Bell Peppers

You can add any toping that you like on a Pizza

Directions:

Separate the pita apart around the edges to leave two round halves

place halves rough side up on baking sheet and place in oven for about 5 minutes to toast up.

Remove from oven and spread tomato sauce on each half

Add some Cheese and toppings in alternating layers and finish with a bit more cheese.

Pop in the oven for 15 or so minutes, until cheese is melted and the edges are crisp.

I cut them in quarters with a pizza cutter and each get out own personal size pizza!

Serve with a fresh salad for a complete meal! Enjoy! Do you have a any South Beach Friendly recipes? I would love to try them!

I love me some Kroger stores Mega Sales

I reallllly do!I get so depressed when they are over because I am able to get such great deals with my coupons and the deal combined.

I do wish they had them more often, like year before last.I swear they used to have them every few months but now we are lucky to have them a couple times a year.

One huge promotion that they used to run in Arizona about 8-9 years ago was double dollar coupons. WOW baby I would stock pile all my $1.00 coupons for that event because they were worth $2.00! With as bad as the economy is it sure couldn't hurt to run one of those sales again!

Kroger/Fry's are you listening? What a way to get more customers into your store! I never just purchased what I had coupons for with those sales, nor do I do that with Mega Sales either.

Times are tough and I am ALWAYS looking to get the most bang for my buck!

I was able to get a TON of food even for my Kitties/Puppies and Guinea pig for about $150.00 these past two weeks with Mega deals alone.

I did spend a bit more from 1/10/10 until today then I wanted BUT it was still a great deal considering its for 4 people and 5 furries! I spent $432.87 and with the exception of milk and other necessities I should not have to shop for at least a month! This also includes Pull ups for my toddler!

I am determined to be under $500.00 a month for our food and personal needs per month. I used be able to spend less but with South Beach hubby and I need tons of fresh lean meat and Veggies which really add up quickly!

So have you been hitting the Mega Sale? How have you done?

My Baby First Steps Wii game review

I was offered the opportunity to review My Baby First Steps for the Wii from Game Review Network.

This is a different type of game. Instead of playing a game you are raising a virtual baby. Your baby is fifteen months old when you start the game and your job continues until they are two and a half.

You do everything that a parent does for a baby in this game including changing diapers, bathing and playing with your baby! You even name them. You can chose a boy or a girl and customize their appearance or if you want the game will pick for you.

Here are my daughters words on the game.

" You train your baby to things just like a real mom. You can talk to your baby, play games, and teach her. I really like this game its fun but not like most games out there, it makes me feel responsible "

Baby first steps has already been released and is available at Amazon.com as well as other major retailers.

My daughter really enjoyed My Baby First Steps for the Wii, In fact she bought the DS version with her own money so she can take the fun with her! I would say this game would be a good choice for the young female gamer in your life.

Head over to Game Review Network for a chance to win your own copy!!!

Looking for Broccoli Recipes!

Yes I am looking for some great broccoli recipes because I am going to have a ton soon!

If you have read my blog for a while then you know I enjoy gardening especially vegetable gardening. I wanted to try my hand at something different this winter because last year I tried Garlic and Onions but our land is super duper hard clay that doesn't allow root veggies to grow.

Im thinking it was about October when I planted my winter garden and included Cabbage, Leaf Lettuce, and Broccoli. I was hoping some would survive so that we could enjoy it.

Wow the Cabbage is big but no heads yet, The lettuce I have been picking and eating for a while now. Our Artichoke plant seems to be coming back and my oh my the Broccoli is big and the little trees are sprouting and getting bigger!

You can see the main stalks in one shot and the teeny tiny little ones that will grow too!

We eat a ton of Veggies being on South Beach, and Broccoli is always a favorite so I cant wait to taste the fruits of my labor, but I need some good recipes to use it all up! Can you can it? I figure a lot of it will be blanched and frozen but I would love to cook with it too! The only thing is the recipes cannot contain Sugar, White Flour, Cream and a few other things but if you have any to suggest I would love to see them!

I am a Major scent person, I must wear perfume, scented lotions, powder something usually layers of scent.

To me scent has a major impact on my emotions! Here is what the creators say about the scents in the woman's Perfume and the men's Cologne.

Jovan Satisfaction for Women - Fragrance Profile

Bottom Notes: Sultry Musk, Sandalwood, Warm Vanilla

Jovan Satisfaction for Men - Fragrance Profile

OK here is my impression the perfume is a very sweet fruity scent, I can defiantly smell the musk and I love it. Nothing Like any of the other Jovan perfume scents extremely different!

The men's Cologne is a very masculine scent that is lighter then most colognes, very clean and fresh mmmmm great smelling man there!

The suggested retail for these will be
0.5 oz Eau de toilette Spray: $12.00 SRP
1.0 oz Eau de toilette Spray: $18.00 SRP

Well worth the money to smell delicious!
